Babar Ghias serves as executive vice president of portfolio management at Paragon Biosciences. He focuses on investment prospect generation, structuring, execution, and potential acquisition due diligence. In addition, he provides strategic corporate advising to Paragon’s portfolio companies.

Babar Ghias serves as executive vice president of portfolio management at Paragon Biosciences. He focuses on investment prospect generation, structuring, execution, and potential acquisition due diligence. In addition, he provides strategic corporate advising to Paragon’s portfolio companies.

Babar Ghias has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry including investment banking, private investing and operations. He previously served as chief financial officer and head of corporate development at Marathon Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, Mr. Ghias was a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions team at Credit Suisse, providing transaction advice to clients in the life sciences industry. He began his career as an analyst for the investment banking group at UBS Securities Asia. Mr. Ghias earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan.
