CEO, Paragon Health Capital
Brian Friedman serves as CEO of Paragon Health Capital, where he helps Paragon’s portfolio companies to raise growth capital via private placements as well as provides buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services.
Mr. Friedman has over 20 years of experience in health care investment banking and venture capital. Prior to joining Paragon Health Capital, Mr. Friedman served as managing director at First Analysis Securities Corporation leading the firm’s health care practice, where he completed transactions for disruptive technology companies such as CoverMyMeds, Apixio, and others. Prior to joining First Analysis in 2010, Mr. Friedman was an executive vice president and co-head of investment banking at National Securities Corporation, where he managed more than 40 capital markets and M&A transactions in the healthcare and technology sectors. In 1999, Mr. Friedman was the founding managing partner of Robotic Ventures, a VC fund focused on AI driven technologies which invested early capital in successful companies such as iRobot and Mako Surgical. He started his career as an associate at Liberty Hampshire Company (now Guggenheim Partners).
Mr. Friedman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa as well as a JD/MBA from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law.
